PulseMetrics ("we", "our", "us", or "Platform") safeguards data processed through official TikTok APIs. Our current production integration uses TikTok Login Kit and Display API for profile and public-video analytics. TikTok Shop, LIVE, and Ads data will only be processed after those separate integrations receive approval and an account owner explicitly authorizes access.

1. Information We Collect

When an authorized account owner connects their TikTok Account to PulseMetrics using official OAuth 2.0 consent protocols, we collect only read-only data scopes explicitly authorized by the user:

  • User Profile Data (user.info.basic, user.info.stats): Display Name, Profile Avatar URL, Open ID, total follower count, total likes, following count, and public profile metrics.
  • Organic Video Metrics (video.list): Public video metadata and available view, like, comment, and share counts.
  • Future TikTok Shop and LIVE integrations: Shop sales, product, video, and LIVE performance data will only be collected through an approved TikTok Shop Partner app and seller authorization.
  • Future TikTok Ads integration: Campaign and reporting data will only be collected through an approved TikTok API for Business app and advertiser authorization.

2. How We Use Collected Information

All data obtained through TikTok APIs is strictly used to provide visual analytics reports, performance dashboards, and ROI optimization insights within PulseMetrics. Specific data uses include:

  • Rendering real-time analytics graphs and performance scorecards for the account owner.
  • Calculating cross-channel performance metrics between organic content, live streams, and paid campaigns.
  • Generating downloadable summary reports for internal brand auditing.

Strict Data Non-Disclosure Policy: PulseMetrics NEVER sells, rents, monetizes, or shares user data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or external entities under any circumstances.

3. Read-Only API Scope Guarantee

PulseMetrics requests exclusively read-only permissions. Our platform does NOT have technical capability or authorization to post content, alter account settings, modify videos, send messages, or perform any write/edit actions on your TikTok account.

4. Data Retention & Immediate Revocation / Deletion

Users retain full control over their connected data at all times:

  • Revoking Access: You can disconnect your TikTok account at any time via your PulseMetrics account settings or directly in your TikTok App under Security Settings.
  • Data Erasure: Upon account disconnection or submitting a deletion request to privacy@pulsemetrics.app, all cached OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, and historical analytics data associated with your user ID will be permanently and irreversibly purged within 24 hours.

5. Data Storage & Security Standards

We enforce enterprise-grade security protocols to safeguard developer data:

  • Encryption in Transit: API communication between PulseMetrics, TikTok servers, and user browsers uses HTTPS/TLS.
  • Encryption at Rest: OAuth tokens and user configuration settings are encrypted at rest using AES-256 bit encryption algorithms.
